As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Keep Alachua County Beautiful believes that each of us holds an obligation to preserve and protect our environment. Through our everyday choices and actions, we collectively have a big impact on our world.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Keep America Beautiful follows a practical approach that unites citizens, businesses and the government to find solutions that advance our core issues of preventing litter, reducing waste, and beautifying communities.

The efforts of our staff and wonderful volunteers have been recognized by Keep America Beautiful. In 2018 we recieved the President's Circle Recognition Award, alongside hundreds of other affiliates.

This year, as Keep Alachua County Beautiful celebrates its 28th Anniversary as well as its 27th year participating in the Great American Cleanup, Keep America Beautiful celebrates its 66th Birthday. What started with a message and a post office box in New York City in 1953 has blossomed into an international movement with over 1,200 affiliates.
