Our mission is to beautify, conserve resources, recycle, educate and preserve our community's environmental legacy.

As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Keep Alachua County Beautiful believes that each of us holds an obligation to preserve and protect our environment. Through our everyday choices and actions, we collectively have a huge impact on our world. It's really a simple concept, but one with far reaching effects.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Keep America Beautiful follows a practical approach that unites citizens, businesses and the government to find solutions that advance our core issues of preventing litter, reducing waste, and beautifying communities.

This year, as Keep Alachua County Beautiful celebrates its 27th Anniversary as well as its 26th year participating in the Great American Cleanup, Keep America Beautiful celebrates its 65th Birthday. What started with a message and a post office box in New York City in 1953 has blossomed into an international movement with over 1,200 affiliates.
